Questions Can I customize my letters and
statements?
Yes, you can customize or design new letters,
statements, envelopes, and labels for both printing and email using the
built-in forms editor. You can have up to 256 different letters
available at the click of the mouse.
Can I import guest information from another program?
Yes, if the program can export the guest information
to a text file as comma delimited strings (CSV), NightClerk Express can
import the information.
How many units does NightClerk Express support?
The standard version of NightClerk Express supports from one to
forty-eight units. Can I import my reservations from
Guest Tracker™?
Yes, when you run NightClerk Express for the first time on a computer with
Guest Tracker™ installed, it should ask you about converting your Guest
Tracker™ data. If you answer "yes", NigthClerk Express will
convert the Guest Tracker™ guest and reservation records. Additionally
room names and descriptions are copied. However no financial information
(including rates) or letters are converted.
Does NightClerk Express work with online reservation services?
Yes, NightClerk Express exports availability to AvailabilityOnline™, InnRes®,
and Webervations®. However Webervations is the only service that
supports two-way processing allowing for direct online reservations.
Is there any kind of routine maintenance I
should perform?
It is a good idea to back up your NightClerk Express database file as well as your other important files every few days.
Use the Backup Database command from the File menu or the
tools provided with Windows® to do this.
It is also a good idea to compress the NightClerk
Express database every month or so to reclaim unused disk space. To do this, use
the Validate Database command from the File menu.
